Christine Curtis resigned as secretary to the village hall committee after 47 years in the job. She is pictured here with her successor, Sue Little. Christine said, "How time flies when you are enjoying yourself!" You have definitely earned a rest.
No doubt you will have received a leaflet through your door and posters round the village about the event taking place to mark the coronation of King Charles. The village hall has joined with the Entertainment Committee to put on an event for the coronation of King Charles 111.
PLease bring a coronation picnic tea and any dishes and glasses. A slice of coronation cake will be provided and a glass of fizz to toast our new king. There will also be a magician to entertain you. For £20 you can book a table for 12 people and £10 a table for 6.
The hall will be decorated but there will be a prize for the best dressed table. Please come dressed to mark the occasion, it all adds to the fun. Tickets are available from Chris Winterburn, Holly Bank, Pottery Lane, Littlethorpe. There is limited availability due to fire regulations in the hall.

The Village Hall Committee will be holding their AGM on 1st June at 6p.m. for nibbles with the actual meeting at 6.45p.m.
It was good that people were able to meet in the village hall for the AGM unlike last year's virtual meeting. The chair, Angela Seeger-Horner, thanked committee members and also villagers who had supported them. Christopher Orme, treasurer, informed the meeting that two Covid Grants had been received from HBC which had helped with loss of income when the village hall was closed due to Covid. Full minutes of the meeting along with the accounts will follow later.
Due to the circumstances we found ourselves in a virtual Annual General Meeting was held. The minutes of the 2019 A.G.M. (see below) were approved. All the present Trustees/Committee Members agreed to stand for a further year to help things. Should anyone wish to become a Committee Member please contact a member. If anyone would like any further information or clarification please contact Christine Curtis by email christineroly@outlook.com . We will be reviewing the situation on a regular basis. Hoping everyone is keeping well and safe.

Drinks and nibbles were served by Chris Burley and Ian Seeger-Horner before the meeting. Angela Seeger-Horner (Chair) opened the meeting by thanking everyone for coming. The election of officers saw two changes; Christopher Orme is taking over the position of treasurer from Wendy Hunton and John Downes is also joining the committee. The issue of hire charges was discussed and the decision was taken to review hire conditions at the next committee meeting.
