VE Day Celebrations - CANCELLED

Here in Littlethorpe, there is to be a Musical Celebration of VE Day on Friday 8th May starting at 7pm in the Village Hall which will be decorated as hall would have been in 1945 – Bunting Galore!!

We would like to encourage everyone to dress appropriately for the era or wear at touch of red, white & blue to add to the atmosphere.

The entertainment will be various musical items. This will include a choir as well as some comedy moments.

At 8.30pm Chip ‘n’ Dales mobile fish & chip van will be at the hall to provide freshly cooked supper (please let us know when purchasing your tickets if you prefer sausage rather than fish).

The evening will be rounded off with some traditional wartime songs that everyone can participate in.

There will also be a raffle and any profit made will be split between the Village Hall and St Michael’s Church.

Tickets, priced at £12.50 each, go on sale from 1st April from either Sally Armstrong on 607538 or me. This price includes all the entertainment and supper. We expect there to be a very high demand for tickets so, as space is limited, please get your tickets early. There will be no tickets available on the door as the supper has to be ordered in advance.

VEDay75 in May 2020 is a three-day national and international event that is set to be one of the biggest commemorations of the end of World War 2 in Europe. Tens of thousands of people will be taking part from 8th to 10th May 2020 in a whole range of inclusive events.
